Storybase

Building the infrastructure that lets a book keep working

We kept asking what happens after someone reads the book. Storybase is our answer: a platform where authors publish, share, and turn readers into relationships.

Storybase is the author platform built and operated by Storyline Creative.

01The destination

Authors we worked with wanted their books to lead somewhere: a conversation, a client relationship, a community, or their next offer.

02The obstacle

Once a book is sold through a retail store, the author rarely knows who read it. The relationship stays with the store, and the reader has no clear next step with the author.

03The story

The book is the pathway, not the destination. It should connect readers with whatever the author is building.

04The experience

Storybase is the platform we built so authors can publish their book, share it, see how readers engage, and invite readers to take the next step.

  • Publishing in ebook, audiobook, and print
  • A reader app for the web, iPhone, and Android
  • An author dashboard with reader activity and requests to connect
  • Sharing, offers, and ambassador programs
  • A next step inside the book, written in the author's words

05The ecosystem

Story, experience, action, relationship, growth. A reader finishes a chapter, sees the author's invitation, and asks to connect. The author sees it on the dashboard and follows up.

06The impact

Authors we work with, including Andrew Barnhill, Shawn Priddy, and Legacy & Succession, publish and share their books on Storybase.

An illustrative journey featuring Andrew Barnhill’s Financial Flight Plan. Figures shown are examples.
