Privacy Policy
Effective August 14, 2026
This policy explains what information Storyline Creative, LLC collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Section 5 covers text messaging specifically.
1. Who We Are
Storyline Creative, LLC is an Oklahoma limited liability company based in Oklahoma City. We help leaders write and publish books, and we own and operate Storybase, a publishing and reader-engagement platform at storybase.io.
This policy covers information we collect through storylinecreative.co, through working with us directly, and through the Storybase messaging program described in section 5.
2. Information We Collect
- Contact information you give us — name, email address, phone number, and anything you write in a form or message
- Project material you share with us while we work together, such as manuscripts, interviews, recordings, and notes
- Account and purchase information if you use Storybase, handled as described in the Storybase privacy policy
- Basic usage data from our website, such as pages visited and general location, used to understand what is working
3. How We Use It
- To reply to you, deliver the work you hired us for, and run our business
- To send you information you asked for, including text messages if you separately opted in
- To operate, secure, and improve our website and the Storybase platform
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations
4. How We Share It
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these circumstances:
- Service providers who work on our behalf — for example hosting, email delivery, payment processing, and messaging — and only as needed to provide that service
- Professional advisors such as accountants and lawyers, bound by confidentiality
- When required by law, or to respond to a lawful request
- If the business is sold or reorganized, as part of that transaction
5. Text Messages (SMS)
Storyline Creative operates a text messaging program through Storybase. If a reader claims a book on Storybase and separately opts in, the author of that book may send them text messages. Consent is collected on the book access form as its own unticked checkbox, is never required in order to receive the book, and is given per author.
No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The sharing described elsewhere in this policy excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent — that information is never shared with any third party.
- Message frequency varies and depends on the reader's own activity.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from that sender, or HELP for help.
- Full program terms are published at storybase.io/messaging-terms.
6. How We Protect and Keep It
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, and we keep it only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected or as long as the law requires.
7. Your Choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or unsubscribe from any message we send. Email info@storylinecreative.co and we will take care of it.
8. Children
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.
9. Changes
We will update this policy as our business changes, and we will update the effective date above when we do.
